About Onirik Designs
Onirik Designs, from the Greek Onero, meaning dream, was founded in early 2000 on the initiative of Patrick Mortimer, the Leading Artist, who had just returned from London, overwhelmed with ideas and ready for new challenges. In partnership with his long time friend Gilbert Marie, they both co-direct the company. We are involved in the art of decorations, a well-established name in the Event Field operating with fully experienced artists, performing on events, such as theme parties, weddings, show exhibitions, Trade fairs, hotel and corporate works, etc. We create concepts, transform venues and locations and bring out the atmosphere to the wishes, tastes, and demands of our clients. As you will observe from the company’s gallery, the imaginativeness and originality go without speaking.
Nearly 17 years since the company’s inception and there are many reasons to be proud of. From humble beginnings, we are now a thriving business and one of the most prominent operators in Mauritius. The challenge of the leading artist to make the island well-acquainted with the global world of events has proven beyond expectations.
We’ve done work for a number of companies, prestigious brands, multinationals here and abroad. In countries and much sought-after destinations like Bali, Phuket, Seychelles, London, Paris, Berlin.
We had the privilege and honor to be awarded the decoration contract of the FIFA Congress 2013, held here in Mauritius (one of our biggest achievements!). It was a tremendous success! 17 years of executing diverse decors, experiencing indescribable emotions and there are more to come!
Our Style
Onirik Designs follows the trend that has revolutionized the world of events and the art of decoration since early 2000 with its new technology and materials available or can be outsourced on the global market. Our style may vary from traditional to contemporary, from modern to futuristic. We take inspiration from Japanese minimalism to the Oriental extravaganza. Exotism, rustic, natural, organic, vintage, and glamour form part of our everyday jargon.
